Job Overview

We are looking for a Commodity Planning Supervisor to join our team onsite in Holland, MI. The position will work Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.


As theCommodity Planning Supervisor, you will lead a supply chain planning team by establishing priorities, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring consistent adherence to established policies and procedures. This role is essential in maintaining a precise, resilient global supply chain that supports operational performance, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction. The position carries significant crossfunctional impact, partnering with suppliers, operations, engineering, and sourcing to drive strategic decisions, optimize inventory, support product launches, and mitigate supply risks. It contributes to planning strategies that advance organizational growth, sustainability initiatives, and overall operational efficiency. This role operates within a collaborative, highperforming team that values problemsolving, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking. It provides the opportunity to influence material flow, strengthen supply chain capabilities, and support initiatives that enhance product delivery on a global scale.

Essential Functions

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to a team of supply chain members, ensuring efficient and timely execution of tasks.
  • Assign and oversee supply chain tasks, ensuring clear understanding of work instructions, inventory, quality standards, and procurement targets.
  • Encourage and monitor supply chain performance, track progress against goals, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Champion and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as leveraging lean tools, to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Address performance issues in a timely and professional manner, providing coaching and support as needed.
  • Manage team resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency and control costs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting member engagement, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related degree.
  • Education Equivalency:

    • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or related degree, plus 2 years of related experience or,
    • 4 years of related experience if no post-secondary education.
    • Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military





Experience



  • 3 years of experience working in supply chain management in material planning or commodity management.
  • 2 years supervisory experience.



In addition:



  • Applicants must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25 percent of the time (visiting Haworth Big Rapids plant and suppliers 1x/month).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the automotive or funtirure industry.
  • Haworth working experience.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Ability to work cross functionally driving projects and initiatives.
