The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Director of Housing Support Services, Scattered Site is responsible for working with other HSS Director Teams on the development, maintenance, and provision of high-quality CCH Supportive Housing programming at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, program funders, and leadership staff. This position will oversee the Supportive Housing programming primarily for clients who are placed in scattered site housing throughout the Denver Metro area. The Director will ensure compliance with all CCH, City, state, and federal requirements for projects under their purview, including grant reports, client service activities, data analysis, and other tracking tools to manage program outcomes. The Director of Housing Support Services will contribute to short and long-term strategic planning and implementation of all CCH Supportive Housing Initiatives. The position will also work closely with the Onsite HSS Director and other CCH leadership to assist in designing and overseeing new Supportive Housing initiatives as assigned. This position will collaborate to create a trauma-informed, supportive, inclusive work environment for staff and clientele under their division. Masters degree in Social Work or related field required. Licensure in the State of Colorado as a LCSW or LPC required; co-licensure as a CACIII or LAC strongly preferred.
NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date. The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance. Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions
    • Works to create a supportive working environment that encourages trauma-informed and culturally competent interactions that build collaboration and create a kind and respectful atmosphere throughout the Housing Support Services Department and programs.
    • Hires, trains and supervises direct reports, including providing coaching and problem-solving assistance, providing resources, tools, professional development, leadership development and ongoing support in alignment with department goals.
    • Sets and is responsible for staff performance objectives to meet individual and department goals, as well as grant requirements and other reporting data quality.
    • Collaborates with Stout Street Health Center, Property Management and other HSS Director leadership teams in building integrated care systems within supportive housing programs to develop an integrated, accessible, evidence-based, and sustainable system of care.
    • Assures the implementation of quality improvement and quality assurance activities and monitoring including providing oversight, execution, documentation, and follow-up.
    • Oversees department contracts and budgets and is accountable for financial expenditures.
    • Collaborates with Resource Development to seek out and apply for new funding for projects that align with the Coalition's mission and values.
    • Assures compliance with funding requirements, including reports to grantors and partners and ensuring all verification paperwork and data entry is completed as required by law and/or payor sources.
    • Assures the high standards and competencies required by state and federal guidelines, as well as compliance with regulations of all relevant funding sources to include but not limited to HRSA, HUD, DOLA, DHA, Behavioral Health Administration, the City and County of Denver, and SAMHSA
    • Represents the agency as an advocate and educator regarding national best practices regarding housing support services for people experiencing homelessness.
    • Appropriately responds to crises as they arise and in a trauma-informed manner, including participating in on-call rotations as necessary.
    • Understands and follows the related policies and procedures of CCH and supports managers and staff in their compliance with the same. Writes and implements any necessary policies/procedures and seeks approval of such from Executive Leadership Team.
    • Provides direct services to clients and clinical consultation within the department as needed.
    • Demonstrates understanding of EHR and HMIS and helps to assure staff competency.
    • Maintains a work environment marked by respect for others, values inclusiveness and builds workforce diversity, and fosters cooperation and teamwork.
    • Keeps alert to and informed of current substance treatment and mental health theory and management strategies, as well as holistic/integrated approaches to services for homeless and formerly homeless individuals.
    • Actively participates on committees and contributes to program and staff development.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
    • Proficiently in customer care and service;
    • Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations.
    • Baseline knowledge of how trauma and structural racism and oppression have impacted the lives of homeless community members interfacing with CCH.
    • Knowledge of non-profit organizational management practices;
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and budgeting practices;
    • Demonstrated knowledge, competency and advocacy around the principles of housing first, harm reduction and motivational interviewing.
    • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care and ability to apply the principles to supervision and client care;
    • Skill in operating office equipment, such as computers, software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; e-mail; HR systems) and telephones;
    • Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Consistently superb customer service skills; excellent interpersonal/assertive communications skills demonstrating a high degree of emotional intelligence.
    • Knowledge of HUD rules and regulations.
    • Knowledge of HIPPA federal and state requirements.
    • Ability to function cooperatively as a member of the team;
    • Ability to listen effectively, synthesize and analyze information, and respond creatively to challenging situations;
    • Ability to interact with residents in a fair and tactful manner;
    • Clearly understand and respect of the need for resident confidentiality;
    • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others both in writing and orally;
    • Ability to work independently and with little ongoing supervision;
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously;
    • Ability to ensure accuracy of data management and reporting;

    • Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet CCH automobile insurance eligibility.
    • Education and Work Experience
    • Masters degree in Social Work or related field required. Licensure in the State of Colorado as a LCSW or LPC required; co-licensure as a CACIII or LAC strongly preferred.
    • Previous experience working in nonprofit industry with grant oversight, preferred.
    • Prior management and supervisory experience required.
    • Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance treatment disorders required.
$113,000 - $120,000 a year
