Position description

Software Development Engineer in Test (Herndon, VA). Design, develop, and maintain

automated testing frameworks to ensure scalable test coverage. Perform both manual and

automated testing strategies to validate functionality, usability, and performance. Creating

detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements. Performing

regression, smoke, and exploratory testing to identify defects and ensure application stability.

Logging identified bug tickets in GIT and tracking them. Analyze requirements and acceptance

criteria to ensure complete test coverage. Participating in sprint planning, grooming, and

retrospectives meetings with the team. Creating test data for automated and manual testing.

Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and libraries for automation scalability. Track and

report test results and quality metrics to Product Owners and Product Managers to support release

readiness decisions. Sharing test automation report with Product Owners and Product Managers

weekly. Create, manage, and maintain test cases and test plans in TestRail to ensure organized

and traceable test coverage. Bachelor's in Computer Science or closely related field & 12 mo.

experience as a QA Engineer or related position in applications development. Must have one year

of experience in regression testing, manual and automated software testing, automation

frameworks Playwright or Selenium, JavaScript and TypeScript, WCAG guidelines and axe-core,

axe DevTools, Jira, Git, and REST API testing and integration of CI/CD pipelines.
