Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and staying visible throughout your shift. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities. You will be part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive and secure environment for everyone on site.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
• Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises to maintain compliance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and/or staff with directions and information regarding access procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or issues according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment in alignment with client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
