As Miracle Flights enters a pivotal period of national growth, we are seeking an exceptional Chief of Philanthropy to lead this next chapter of impact. The Chief of Philanthropy will lead all fundraising, partnerships, and donor engagement efforts during a defining moment for the organization. This executive leader will craft and execute a bold philanthropic strategy that meaningfully grows Miracle Flights national donor base and revenue to support our expanding mission.
The Chief of Philanthropy will build a modern, high-performing development program that elevates major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation funding, and community giving. This role is central to ensuring Miracle Flights continues to meet growing demand while expanding impact nationwide.

Location: Based at our Las Vegas headquarters, with flexibility for a hybrid or remote work model.
Salary: Compensation range: $150,000$175,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Purpose of the Position
The Chief of Philanthropy is responsible for leading Miracle Flights overall fundraising strategy and revenue generation. This includes major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation grants, donor acquisition, national campaigns, and stewardship.
This executive will:
- Serve as the CEOs strategic thought partner in philanthropy and external engagement
- Build a sustainable national fundraising model
- Strengthen Miracle Flights presence with donors, treatment centers, and brand partners
- Establish performance systems, KPIs, and accountability across philanthropy
- Inspire donors by connecting giving to direct impactfunding flights for families
The ideal candidate is a seasoned fundraiser, skilled team builder, and trusted relationship strategist with experience in high-growth nonprofit environments.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team and partner with the CEO on organizational strategy.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive philanthropic plan aligned to Miracle Flights mission and growth goals.
- Establish departmental KPIs, forecasting, and accountability systems.
- Promote a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
Individual Gifts & Donor Engagement
- Build and manage a portfolio of all donors from annual to transformational.
- Partner closely with the CEO and Board to expand networks and secure transformational contributions.
- Design cultivation and stewardship strategies that deepen donor loyalty and long-term engagement.
Corporate & Foundation Partnerships
- Grow Miracle Flights national corporate partnerships, including airlines, brands, airport retailers, transportation services, and treatment centers.
- Lead strategy for foundation giving, grant development, and philanthropic partnerships.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing philanthropy team.
- Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics.
- Foster collaboration with marketing, programs, and operations to align messaging and donor impact.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the philanthropy budget, forecasting, and revenue goals.
- Ensure accurate donor records, reporting, and data integrity.
- Implement modern fundraising tools and systems to strengthen efficiency and growth.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit fundraising regulations and ethical guidelines.
Campaign Leadership
- Lead future multi-year fundraising campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Support events, campaigns, and marketing activations.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 1215+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success securing major gifts at six- and seven-figure levels.
- Experience building and managing high-performing fundraising teams.
- Proven track record in relationship-based fundraising models.
- Strong experience with corporate partnerships and foundation relations.
- Proficiency with CRM and fundraising databases.
