Supervisory Duties: Commercial and Business Bankers within each market

Job Summary: The Market President serves as the senior leader and face of Centier Bank within the assigned market. This individual is responsible for driving growth and assessing financial profitability, strengthening client relationships, expanding Centier's market presence, and ensuring that all strategies and actions reinforce the bank's Vision to preserve Indiana's Hometown Private Family-Owned and Operated Bank known for remarkable service and hospitality. The Market President champions Centier's Mission of building lasting relationships and delivering unmatched hospitality, while fostering a culture rooted in integrity, teamwork, servant leadership, and community commitment. This role has a strong focus on commercial banking, commercial credit quality, leadership of the local team, and effective partnership with all lines of business to deliver integrated financial solutions to clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Market Leadership & Culture

  • Serve as the primary ambassador of Centier Bank's Purpose, Vision, Value, and Culture within the community.
  • Implement the bank's strategic priorities into actionable market-level tactics, aligning teams, resources, and execution plans to drive sustainable growth and performance.
  • Model and promote a culture of hospitality, servant leadership, accountability, and community engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop associates to deliver world-class client experiences consistent with Centier's cultural commitments.
  • Oversee performance, recruitment, development, and retention of bankers.

Commercial Banking & Revenue Growth

  • Directly lead all commercial banking activities within the market, including business development, relationship management, pricing, portfolio growth, and credit quality.
  • Work hand in hand with credit partners to ensure sound underwriting, timely decisions, and high-quality portfolio management.
  • Drive pricing, client profitability, and relationship strategies for high-value clients across all lines of business to maximize revenue and long-term value.
  • Identify, pursue, and win new commercial relationships in line with the company's risk and credit appetite
  • Possess a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive activity, and industry trends to guide activities and opportunity execution.

Cross-Line-of-Business Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Retail, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, Mortgage, and other specialty business lines to deliver consistent client experience and ensure strategic initiatives are executed effectively within the market.
  • Champion a "One Centier" approach by ensuring clients receive the full spectrum of Centier's products, services, and expertise.
  • Facilitate regular communication and joint planning between teams to promote shared goals and integrated client strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on the identification, selection, and optimization of branch network expansion and properties.
  • Partner with line of business leaders for key hires and new positions to meet client needs in the market

Community Engagement

  • Represent Centier in community organizations, civic groups, and local events to strengthen the bank's reputation, visibility, and commitment to serving all segments of the community.
  • Seek and recommend high profile opportunities for consideration to enhance community engagement and brand differentiation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to business leaders, community partners, media, and centers of influence.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, bank policies, and risk management practices.
  • Own market level financial results, including budget development, profitability, production goals, and expense management.
  • Oversee market performance metrics and operational efficiency.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and a commitment to ethical, compliant banking practices. Strong commitment to Centier Bank's values of integrity, community involvement, exceptional service, and long-term relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Self-directed, high energy team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills in order to multitask projects and initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work unassisted; mentor and motivate others in-market.
  • Excellent communicator, confident in public speaking and media engagement
  • Demonstrated success in business/community involvement and inclusivity.
  • Flexible schedule; may travel/work evening appointments or weekend events.
  • Deep knowledge of Indiana's community banking landscape and economic drivers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; business related major required.
  • 5+ years of market leadership experience
  • 5+ years of commercial banking experience. Business to business sales experience required.
