The Palliative Care Practice of MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) is seeking a palliative care physician to join our well-established inpatient palliative care team at Maine Medical Center, the flagship academic medical center for MaineHealth. This opportunity focuses on providing inpatient palliative care for patients across Southern Maine in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary model. Candidates must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

This position offers:

• A dedicated inpatient palliative care role within a very well-established palliative care team at Maine Medical Center - Portland, MaineHealth's flagship academic medical center.
• The opportunity to care for a broad and clinically diverse inpatient population. The team sees patients across all diagnoses and is highly integrated with services throughout the hospital, including medicine, oncology, cardiology, critical care, surgery, neurology, and other specialty teams.
• A full interdisciplinary team model that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and chaplains working together to provide comprehensive patient- and family-centered care.
• A strong educational focus, including teaching within our Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship and working with learners at all levels, including medical students, residents, fellows, and other interdisciplinary trainees.
• An opportunity to be part of ongoing efforts to increase access to specialty palliative care across MaineHealth Medical Group while practicing in a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification/Board Eligible.

The annual base salary for this position is $265,000.
