Overview

Alpha Paving is growing in Houston! We are looking for a driven Account Executive to help expand our footprint in the commercial paving and concrete market. This is a true new business development role designed for a sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals.

The Account Executive is the face of Alpha Paving to clients, responsible for identifying opportunities, developing long-term partnerships, and guiding projects from signed contract through successful completion in close collaboration with internal operations teams.



Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Proactively hunt and secure new commercial and industrial paving opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, and key decision-makers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial engagement through project completion
  • Qualify incoming opportunities and determine project fit in partnership with operations and leadership
  • Conduct site walks and attend pre-construction or pre-project meetings to understand scope and client needs
  • Develop and present sales proposals and scopes of work (pricing and estimating handled by internal teams)
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with Alpha Paving's capabilities and growth goals
  • Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, identifying new verticals and repeat business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs after contract execution
  • Monitor market activity, competitors, and upcoming projects to stay ahead of opportunities

  • Proven success in business development or account executive roles within commercial construction or related industries
  • Strong ability to open new accounts and build trust with mid-to-senior-level decision-makers
  • Confident, consultative sales approach with excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Comfort conducting site visits and discussing scope at a high level
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and follow-through skills to ensure client satisfaction
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations and project teams
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and pipeline management
