Join our team as a Maintenance Lead. This person should have an advanced understanding of all multi-craft maintenance skills. This is an advanced level position that also assists in the development, training and work schedules of all lower level positions.

Responsibilities



  • Provides strategic leadership and oversight for projects involving contractors and skilled labor, ensuring effective coordination, high standards of workmanship, and successful project outcomes.
  • Acts as a value stream champion for maintenance initiatives, driving process improvements and operational excellence where applicable.
  • Serves as a hands-on leader, actively participating in supervised tasks while providing guidance and oversight to the team.
  • Accountable for the overall performance and outcomes of the team, ensuring objectives are met through effective leadership, guidance, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverages comprehensive expertise in established precedents and best practices to provide clear direction and guidance to the team.
  • Requires a comprehensive understanding of a range of analytical/scientific method or operational procedures, system and concepts to perform a broad range of complex work assignments.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision to a team including coaching on performance, ordinating activities, checking on quality and work progress.
  • Resolves issues, implements solutions, and develops new methods to achieve team goals.
  • Responsible for team preventative maintenance on-time completion.
  • Responsible for team timecard accuracy.
  • Responsible for end of shift work order creation, part information accuracy and item creation submittals for MRO parts.
  • Assigning resources to planned work and aligning team focus for scheduled work completion.
  • Facilitator of shift pass down reporting.
  • Communication with maintenance planner and maintenance supervisor on work performance.
  • Leads maintenance problem-solving cycles by analyzing and leveraging CMMS data reports to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Keeping maintenance documentation and data up to date.
  • Completes mechanical & electrical repairs and makes adjustments as needed - Makes advanced repairs and adjustments to electrical devices
  • Train & lead lower level incumbents
  • Successfully troubleshoots complex mechanical and electrical problems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
  • Completes welding and fabrication tasks with little direction
  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books
  • Advanced mechanical, welding and cutting skills
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.
  • Good problem solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
  • Advanced workbench and computer skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC controllers and motor control circuits
  • Able to lead, train & coordinate with all departments


Desired Experience



  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • CPR and First Aid Training provided
  • Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training provided
  • WI electrical safety training provided
  • Complete knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure Manual
  • Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience
