What you will do This position requires the loading and unloading of trucks or containers. Moves material within a warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading dock by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment. Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish tasks. QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in warehousing and Power Industrial Vehicle Operation. Proficiency in WMS applications and basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills and be detail and goal orientated. Required to follow the directions and policies of the department and have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and internal customers. There will be long hours of standing and bending. Lifts up to 40lbs in some material handler's duties. Must be flexible with work schedule, including overtime and weekends, to meet customer demands. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: Training rate $23.57 Certified rate $24.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
