Job Description/Essential Functions:

This is a consultant position. You will not be considered a BRC employee, rather a 1099 consultant. Hours and duration of this position is described in the consultant agreement.

BRC provides "best-value" technical and management solutions to a diverse government and commercial customer base in the following key business areas: test & evaluation, systems analysis & integration, security & intelligence, and R&D.

Responsibilities:


  • Test and evaluation support comprises test planning support, test conduct support, and test reporting support.
  • Position evaluates the finished work, testing reports, data and results providing technical recommendations to support or reject test article certification for military and U.S. Navy use.
  • May act as advisor in regard to solution of problems encountered during progress of work on specific tasks or common to the area of specialized work assigned to provide specialized technical advice within their expertise.
  • May also conduct training program for NEDU personnel, teaching the principles of diving and life support equipment as it directly relates to the T&E mission at NEDU.

Minimum Requirements:
  • PhD Engineer, scientist, physician or equivalent who is a subject matter expert in diving and hyperbaric physiology.
  • Intricate knowledge of the topics included in the above tasks (TA) is required.
  • Extensive experience in the review and synthesis of scientific information, to include journal articles, technical reports, research proposals, experimental protocols, and processing of raw or compiled data.
  • Extensive experience in conducting human subject research.
  • U.S. Citizen with eligibility for a secret clearance
  • Experience mechanical / diving, hyperbaric and life support engineer with extensive knowledge of engineering principles, theories, specifications, and standards. Proven track record of overseeing the manufacture and
  • testing of diving, hyperbaric life support equipment.
  • This is a new position; it has not been created to fill an existing (vacated) Civil Service Position
  • The
    Contractor will fully comply with Executive Order 14210 and the hiring freeze
    directed therein. The

  • Government
    and/or Contractor will not create any position that circumvents this Order.
