What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require an armed presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to company and client protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and authorizations as required for entry to restricted areas.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and/or the public.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
