Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed as required by the post profile.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as necessary in response to incidents.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with the public, employees, and visitors.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats and communicate concerns to Allied Universal management and/or designated client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
