The Role
The Vice President of Cloud Partner Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with the three major hyperscale cloud providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. This executive will unify cloud partner marketing under one cohesive go-to-market engine, ensuring Presidio maintains premier partner status and top-of-mind awareness with cloud provider sales teams.

This role requires a modern marketing leader who combines deep cloud ecosystem expertise with cutting-edge marketing practices including personalization, account-based marketing (ABM), and data-driven demand generation. The successful candidate will transform how Presidio activates and scales its hyperscaler partnerships to drive cloud consumption, professional services attach, and managed services growth.

Reporting directly to the CMO, this position demands a strategic leader who can navigate the unique dynamics of each cloud partner ecosystem while driving measurable business outcomes through integrated marketing and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Cloud Partner Leadership



  • Develop and execute differentiated go-to-market strategies for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud partnerships, recognizing each ecosystem's unique partner models and incentive structures
  • Create unified partner engagement models that align business development objectives with marketing execution across all three hyperscalers
  • Drive partner mindshare initiatives to position Presidio as a top-tier cloud partner within each provider's sales organization
  • Establish executive-level relationships and quarterly business reviews with cloud partner leadership
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between sales, cloud practices, and marketing to maximize joint revenue opportunities


Joint Go-to-Market Planning and Execution



  • Lead cloud alliance teams in creating comprehensive joint GTM plans tailored to each hyperscaler's partner program requirements
  • Design and execute marketing strategies that drive cloud consumption, migration pipeline, and managed services opportunities
  • Develop cloud-specific value propositions, competitive positioning, and solution messaging in collaboration with partner marketing teams
  • Execute integrated campaigns leveraging co-marketing funds, partner channels, and joint demand generation programs
  • Orchestrate marketplace strategies including private offers, co-sell motions, and consumption-based campaigns


Cloud Partner Investment Management



  • Oversee team responsible for Market Development Fund (MDF) management across AWS, Microsoft, and Google
  • Optimize marketing investment utilization and ensure maximum ROI from cloud partner funding
  • Create streamlined workflows for fund requests, approvals, proof-of-execution, and measurement
  • Drive compliance and reporting requirements across all three cloud partner programs


Team Leadership and Development



  • Build and lead high-performing teams across cloud partner marketing, field marketing, and partner operations
  • Establish team structures and career paths that develop deep cloud ecosystem expertise
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and cloud-first thinking within the organization
  • Attract and retain top talent with cloud marketing and partner development backgrounds
  • Mentor and develop next-generation cloud marketing leaders


Key Performance Indicators

Revenue and Pipeline Metrics



  • Cloud partner-influenced revenue growth
  • Partner-sourced pipeline generation across AWS, Microsoft, and Google opportunities
  • Cloud consumption growth and services attach rates


Marketing Effectiveness Metrics



  • Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) generated through cloud partner programs
  • Campaign ROI by cloud partner and program type
  • Partner mindshare metrics including partner sales team engagement and share of voice
  • Marketplace transaction volume and growth


Operational Excellence Metrics



  • MDF/co-op utilization rates (target: 95%+ of allocated funds)
  • Partner program tier status maintenance and advancement
  • Cloud certification and competency achievement rates
  • Campaign execution velocity and quality scores


Strategic Partnership Metrics



  • Active joint GTM initiatives per cloud partner
  • Joint customer success stories and reference development
  • Partner satisfaction scores and relationship health indicators
  • Cloud partner sales team engagement frequency and co-sell participation



Required Skills and Professional Experience



  • 15+ years of marketing leadership experience with 5+ years focused on cloud or technology partner marketing
  • Proven track record building and scaling cloud partner GTM programs
  • Experience managing teams of 15+ marketing professionals
  • Deep understanding of hyperscaler partner programs, economics, and go-to-market models
  • Demonstrated success with modern marketing technologies, ABM platforms, and data-driven campaign optimization


Preferred Skills and Professional Experience



  • Previous cloud partner marketing leadership at a systems integrator, MSP, or cloud-focused technology company
  • Direct experience working within or closely with AWS, Microsoft, and/or Google Cloud partner organizations
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Understanding of cloud economics, consumption models, and FinOps principles
  • Experience managing marketing budgets of $4M+ annually across multiple partner programs
  • Track record of achieving and maintaining top-tier partner status (e.g., AWS Premier, Microsoft Solutions Partner, Google Cloud Premier)
