Overview

Provide direct supervision of nuclear inspectors and salaried non-exempt NQC/QA Analysts, at EB Focus Factory, Rhoads Industries, in Philadelphia, PA. Inspections to be performed include nondestructive testing, mechanical, electrical, piping, and government furnished equipment. The position requires interfacing with SUPSHIPs, Prime Contractor, Naval Reactors Representatives Office, Engineering, Training, and Quonset/Groton EB Management. The ability to interpret specifications, drawings and procedures is required. The candidate must understand nuclear and non-nuclear training as required by specification and or department requirements. The candidate will be required to work with the PQS and Cornerstone systems to monitor and maintain inspector training qualifications. This opening will be for placement on 1st shift; however, the successful candidate must be available and willing to work extended shifts or weekends periodically. Travel to and from Quonset Point or additional Focus Factory sites may be required.



Qualifications

Required:

    5+ years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of NDT experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Applicant must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Applicants must possess strong PC skills to include proficiency with MS Office, and various EB Quality Management Systems
  • Personal integrity and a commitment to uphold the high standards of nuclear work
  • Must be available to work all shifts, weekends and extended hours as business needs dictate
  • High school diploma/GED; additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
  • Experience with the electrical and piping system diagrams

Preferred:

  • Previous Military/Navy related experience
