Short Description Demonstrates the skills, knowledge, and ability to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose and address maintenance and plumbing issue; Operates, maintains, repairs and installs, including but not limited to: pipe systems, plumbing fixtures, heating fixtures, steam fixtures, regulator valves and various system elements/appliances; Performs routine and emergency repairs in the hospital, patient rooms, and public areas; Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed; Skilled at using appropriate equipment and materials for assigned jobs; ensures economical and efficient use of materials; Participates with snow team; Completes building rounds to insure all systems are operating as intended and the campus is safe for patients, guests and employees; Monitors work area to consistently meet regulatory and safety standards; Identifies existing or potential safety hazards for buildings, grounds, and equipment and reports to appropriate staff; Maintains equipment and tools in proper working condition and ensures proper storage; Remains aware of safety and building regulations in performing repairs, replacements, etc.; Responds to emergency calls for system and equipment failure; Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled, on-call, and overtime as necessary; Performs additional duties requested in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Campus; Assists in the work direction of other mechanics, facility staff, trades helpers, and/or other skilled trades, as needed. Experience Required 5 years trade experience. Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required License/Certification Requirements A Master Plumbing license preferred, but not required. Hourly Rate Min $24
Hourly Rate Max $40
