CNC Programmer - Precision, Innovation, and Impact

Hours & Pay:



  • Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, DOE

As a CNC Programmer, you'll craft complex components on 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills, optimize machining processes, and collaborate with engineers and operators to ensure the highest quality output. Key Responsibilities



  • Program and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines, including full setup, test, and troubleshooting
  • Interpret GD&T, engineering drawings, and complex specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Determine optimal speeds, feeds, and tooling for a variety of materials, including stock, extruded, and cast components
  • Develop and maintain CNC processes, including setup sheets, tooling lists, and standard work
  • Apply statistical and analytical tools, such as X-bar charts, to monitor and improve quality
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and DOE methods
  • Train team members on machining procedures, standard work, and proper equipment use
  • Implement equipment and tooling upgrades to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Participate in daily Gemba walks, identify and eliminate process waste, and support cross-functional collaboration
  • Operate and troubleshoot both CNC and manual machines as required



Required Qualifications



  • Certificate or formal training in CAD/CAM software
  • 3+ years programming and operating CNC mills (3-axis and 4-axis)
  • 3+ years of experience with CAD/CAM software and 2D/3D modeling
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T
  • Hands-on experience with Mazak and Doosan machines
  • Skilled in precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kanban, and TPM
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime
  • Physical capability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency in CamWORKS
  • Experience with automation, load/unload robots, and pallet changers
  • Knowledge of DOE and statistical process control
  • Familiarity with visual management systems and one-piece flow
