The University of Arizona Graduate College is seeking a Marketing Specialist II to join our Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment Initiatives team. In this role, the Marketing Specialist II will collaborate with the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment Initiatives to advance the Graduate College's overall goals and objectives. This position plays a critical role in attracting and engaging prospective graduate students, involving the creation of relevant content for various communication channels, collaborating with other university departments, and ensuring consistent branding. | Duties & Responsibilities |
Email and Communication Engagement:
- Craft timely and trending emails and social media posts for graduate communications that are essential for staying relevant and engaging our audience.
- Create and manage email and SMS message drip campaigns for all prospective student populations related to the recruitment and enrollment timeline.
- Produce timely emails and social media posts that emphasize resources available to graduate students.
- Facilitate internal email communications with other departments to align approach to recruitment initiatives and enrollment efforts.
Branding and Marketing Materials:
- Create print branding and marketing materials for the Graduate College that effectively convey the institution's academic excellence and unique selling points.
- Collaborate with various graduate programs as well as the University Marketing & Communications department; provide print marketing materials to graduate programs as needed.
Slate CRM Liaison:
- Act as liaison for graduate departments regarding best practices for using the Slate CRM system for recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
- Attend annual meetings with other graduate departments to discuss recruitment-related developments alongside the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment.
- Collaborate with Director and Sr. AVP on strategies for recruitment and enrollment based on trends and best practices in Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment and share with college partners
Website and Media Account:
- Oversee updates to enrollment-related content to ensure accuracy of information provided on the website, marketing materials and any other platforms available to graduate students
- Regularly implement website content updates ensuring an informative and user-friendly experience.
- Create and schedule social media account postings across multiple platforms to engage with prospective students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to craft compelling and clear messaging to various audiences.
- Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), constituent relationship management systems (CRM), and social media platforms/content planning tools.
- Excellent organizational skills.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Five years of proven experience in content strategy, marketing, or communications.
- Experience working in a higher education institution.
- Experience with Slate CRM.
- Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management platforms.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
