Application Window Open date: December 17, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Jan 17, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Jun 17, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Open Faculty Positions in Pulmonary Basic Science Research University of California San Francisco Department of Medicine The Department of Medicine and the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine at the University of California San Francisco is recruiting for scientists engaged in pulmonary basic science research. The search is open to MD and PhD scientists. Physician-scientists must be board certified in Internal Medicine, preferably with board eligibility or certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Candidates must have demonstrated strong potential to conduct independent research of importance and high quality. Successful candidates will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Medicine, depending on the past experience of the individual. Successful candidates will be eligible for faculty membership in the UCSF Biomedical Sciences graduate program. Outstanding research space and generous start-up packages will be provided.
