Position Summary:

The Sr Mgr - Business Line Controller plans, organizes and directs the financial and administrative functions several business lines. This role uses research, analysis and experience to develop business and financial recommendations for the business line's economic and financial performance. This position performs monthly forecasts and analysis relative to targets and assists leadership with preparation of the annual strategic plan and operation budget.

This is a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh PA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Mgr - Business Line Controller plans, organizes and directs the financial and administrative functions several business lines. This role uses research, analysis and experience to develop business and financial recommendations for the business line's economic and financial performance. This position performs monthly forecasts and analysis relative to targets and assists leadership with preparation of the annual strategic plan and operation budget.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide financial advisory support to business managers.
* Oversee compliance with critical accounting activities (e.g., revenue recognition, inventory accounting, accrued liabilities, etc.)
* Develop and distribute monthly management reports to review and analyze business performance.
* Analyze monthly financial results relative to targets and make recommendations for course corrections.
* Analyze profitability of respective business lines and new product launches.
* Prepare strategic planning financials and annual operating budgets.
* Prepare monthly forecast and analysis relative to targets.
* Provide commercial finance support (e.g., pricing, RFP responses).
* Prepare financial justification for appropriation requests.
* Accountable for reliability of relevant financial processes and associated internal control compliance.
* Lead and assist with projects to improve financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
* Monitor support levels provided by Global Business Services organization.
* Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentor, coach, train, and develop team.
* Additional duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
* Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
* 8+ years progressive managerial accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 5+ years in a leadership role
* Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
* Accounting expertise; knowledge of US GAAP
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
* Experience with SAP ERP/BPC/BI
* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
* Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
* Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Strong general business acumen.

* Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; and talk, hear and see.
* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $140,000 USD - $150,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
