Overview

The Vice President of Threat Intelligence & Prevention will lead the strategic vision, growth, and operational excellence of our federal cybersecurity domain. This executive will architect proactive defense strategies, drive innovation in threat detection and prevention, and ensure the highest standard of risk mitigation for federal systems. The VP will spearhead the development and execution of strategies that protect critical infrastructure, leveraging intelligence, analytics, and advanced technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Responsibilities

  • Make TISTA a market leader in federal threat intelligence and prevention services.
  • Establish Strategic Leadership Vision and growth targets.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive domain-level strategy, balancing long-term vision with actionable short-term objectives.
    • Monitor market trends, technological advancements, industry reports, regulatory changes, and competitor landscape to inform growth opportunities.
    • Achieve annual domain revenue target and domain profit margin.
    • Build and maintain Domain pipeline.
    • Establish key milestones and roadmaps to ensure alignment with organizational goals and mission.
  • Intelligence & Proactive Defense
    • Oversee the implementation of proactive threat intelligence, real-time threat detection, and analytics for federal systems. Demonstrate knowledge of advanced endpoint and insider threat protection capabilities, including the adoption of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). Provide strategic guidance to drive AI/ML-based threat modeling and anomaly detection initiatives. Offer executive guidance to SOC operations and automate threat response to enhance operational continuity and trust.
  • Business & Domain
    • Collaborate with Growth, Solution, and Program teams to cultivate and manage the opportunity pipeline.
    • Lead proposal development, leveraging subject matter experts to craft innovative and competitive solutions.
    • Support cross-functional integration to foster creativity and ensure holistic solution delivery.
    • Achieve or exceed established performance targets (minimum TCV and growth goals to be set).
    • Create and maintain close relationships with customers.
  • Delivery and Operations Management
    • Ensure program delivery aligns with defined goals, standards, and timelines; communicate priorities clearly across teams.
    • Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating as needed to maintain momentum and delivery excellence.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement to drive operational efficiency and quality.
    • Oversee contract execution, program management, and budget controls to ensure successful outcomes and profitability.
    • Gather and communicate stakeholder feedback, aligning delivery with agency and client vision.
    • Develop and execute financial management strategies to maximize domain profitability and resource utilization.

Qualifications

  • track record of driving business growth, developing winning strategies, and ensuring operational excellence.
  • 20 years of professional experience.
  • 10 years of leading operations at a federal contractor
  • 5 years of experience leading or supporting growth initiatives at a federal contractor.
  • Proven executive leadership experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or federal IT security domains.
  • Knowledge of and experience Zero Trust Architecture, SOC management, and AI/ML-based threat detection.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations, compliance requirements, and the federal procurement process.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred. Prefer MBA with concentration in operations management.

Education:

  • 15+ years with Graduate degree or 10+ with MBA.

Clearance:

  • Active clearance preferred.

Location:

  • Remote, USA. (DMV area (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia) preferred.

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $175,075 to $200,250.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
