Overview
The Department of Environmental Conservation is seeking a versatile and driven candidate to join our team as the On-Site Loan Technician at our Montpelier, Vermont office. This new position will oversee the Department's On-Site Loan Program, which provides low-interest loans to income-eligible Vermonters to repair or replace their failed on-site water and wastewater systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that works to protect human health and the environment through proactive assistance, funding, outreach, and education on Vermont's environmental laws, regulations, rules, and permits Core responsibilities of this position include:
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and patient, has excellent written and oral communication skills, manages time effectively and multitasks routinely, has strong organization skills, meets deadlines, and is able to work independently and as a team member with other staff. This position is a part time temporary position with an expected average of 20 hours of work per week through December 31, 2026. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization. OR One (1) year of College level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field. OR One (1) year as an Administrative Services Technician III with the State of Vermont. Special Requirements
