Overview
The Vermont Department of Labor is seeking a motivated Policy Intern to join our team in Montpelier. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy research, analysis, and development within a state government setting. As a Policy Intern, you will work closely with the Department's Policy Director to support initiatives that shape labor policies and workforce strategies in Vermont. Who May Apply
This position, Internship - Policy (Paid) - Temporary (Job Requisition # 53966), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week. -Assist in conducting research and analysis on the labor market, workforce development programs, and legislative proposals. Qualifications
-Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports. Preferred Skills
