GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Manager- Production is responsible for overseeing the multiple departments and shifts to ensure the achievement of the established metrics and standards for safety, quality, production, customer service, and people management. The Sr. Manager- Production is responsible for developing high-performing teams, leading change and continuous improvement, driving results, inspecting what is expected, and building a best-in-class working environment. Reports to the site leader and communicates performance progress and support needed.

Leads Production Managers, who are responsible for achieving results for their assigned department or shift. The scope of the role may vary based on various factors (e.g., volume, types of services, number of employees, and equipment and tools). May only lead Supervisors if the scope of the work includes leading more than 150 employees.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Enforces safety and compliance policies and procedures for a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Evaluates current and future needs by leveraging reports, data, floor observations, and discussions with others.
  • Develops short-term and long-term strategic plans to meet the safety, quality, production, and people management metrics.
  • Formulates and enforces departmental procedures and objectives.
  • Drives execution of metrics through action plans and accountability.
  • Implements changes to achieve expected results.
  • Communicates progress and needs to senior leadership.
  • Leads financial and budget activities to maximum operational efficiency.
  • Ensures consistency of practices, policies, and procedures within assigned area.
  • Oversees production and quality progress by reviewing reports and data, observing the production floor, managing performance, and inspecting production and quality progress.
  • Adjusts production and quality plans, as needed, to ensure labor efficiency and production and quality goals are met.
  • Partners with leadership to communicate progress and support and resources needed.
  • Conducts people management responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Performs these responsibilities for direct reports and supports these efforts for indirect reports, as needed.
  • Communicates performance goals and expectations and continuously updates the production team on performance and policies/procedures.
  • Ensures that there is an adequate distribution of skills to ensure the production and quality goals are met, including developing employees for continuous growth.
  • Builds and develops direct reports to ensure capabilities for executing operational strategies; this includes talent development practices (e.g., performance management and succession planning).
  • Fosters a positive work environment (e.g.teamwork, fairness, engagement)ensures employees demonstrate the company's values.
  • Improves production and quality, such as performing root cause analysis and leading improvement projects.
  • Facilitates the preparation and analysis of reports.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School diploma/G.E.D.
  • 7+ years of experience with leading others.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment.
  • Demonstration of leadership skills and abilities.
  • Experience in a very high-volume environment with complex technical processes.
  • Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution, and team-based success.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor in Business or related field.

Pay Range: $115,000 - 170,026.35

This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
