Job Description




As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Weekdays in Monroe Township, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a secure environment for people and assets. Your visible presence and engaging communication will provide reassurance to everyone at the site. You will play a key role in supporting access control and responding to situations as needed, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals on site by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies related to logistics and distribution operations.
  • Carry out regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any security-related concerns.
  • Respond promptly and calmly to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills to address various scenarios.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel and visitors regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal standards and client protocols.
  • Assist with access control at key entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access or activity within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions and be ready to assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
