Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Part-Time Medication Aide (MA40) for a Day shift 6a-2p (8 Hours) This position is Every other weekend only with a holiday rotation The CNA assists in providing for the residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs in accordance with the established nursing care procedures under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the supervisor in charge. Ideal Candidate:
- At least age 18.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
- Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
- Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
- Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
- Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha, regardless of TEAMember preference.
- Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
- Additional essential functions while working in a Residential Style Living Community:
- Prepares breakfast, snacks and other foods requested by/for Senior/client.
- Processes Senior/client laundry
- Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.
- Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40:
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
