Description

Eventide-Tabitha at Tabitha Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a PRN (As Needed) Medication Aide (MA40). The scheduled requirement for this position is at least 24 hours a month with 16 of those hours on a weekend. 1 required holiday a year.

The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.

Ideal Candidate:



  • At least age 18.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
  • Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR, when necessary, based on training.


Essential Job Duties:





    • Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
    • Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
    • Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
    • Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
    • Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha, regardless of TEAMember preference.
    • Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
    • Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
    • Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40:

      • Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
      • Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.
