Your role

As a Inspection and Test Plan Quality Engineer, your mission is to ensure the successful execution of the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for Atlas Copco enigneered to order compressors by serving as a subject matter expert in quality assurance and system compliance. We are committed to delivering high-performance gas compressor equipment designed and assembled in Voorheesville, NY, through rigorous customer specification review, precise documentation of quality records, and thorough inspection and non-destructive testing. By fostering cross-functional collaboration and maintaining transparent communication with internal teams and customers, we aim to uphold critical quality standards and drive continuous improvement across our processes, policies, and deliverables.. You will report to the Quality Manager.

You will

  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) bu collaborating with Applicaitons Engineering to align plans with specific job requirements.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of ITP requirements throughout the manufacturing process and supply chain, working closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer and production teams.
  • Verify that all customer specifications are met and that the components meet quality stands through inspections, documentation review, and non-destructive testing.
  • Support custom-engineered project by partnering with stakeholder to develop tailored ITPs that reflect the unique requirements of each job.
  • Coordinate resolution of complex quality problems to minimize the impacts on customers and costs.
  • Facilitate improvements to manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with our ITP and customer requirements.

You have 7 years of experience, working in a quality role in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience.

  • You have exposure to working with large industrial equipment in manufacturing.
  • You have experience creating or reviewing Quality Test Plans to meet customer requirements.
  • You have strong written and communication skills with the ability to present defects and requiement to management.
  • You have experience in customer facing roles managing nonconformances.

  • Competitive pay: Base salary ranges from $95,000 to $126,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally you will be entitled to an annual bonus.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our manufacturing facility in Voorheesville, United States (US).
