Job Description The Americas Industry Sales Director, Process provides leadership and strategic direction for the Americas Industry sales team focused on process industries including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Forest Products, Metals, Mining and Cement resulting in sustained, sales and market share growth for assigned products, solutions, and services. You will be responsible for development of the Americas growth strategy for the industry, responsible for recruiting, retaining and development of a talent and leading the industry sales team in the execution of the strategy focused on the annual goals and objectives. You will report to the Regional Vice President, Industries and will work in a hybrid environment from our Houston, Texas office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop the execution plan, including definition of the industry execution priorities, measures of success, addressing the process industries including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Forest Products, Metals, Mining and Cement.
- Lead a sales team to consistently achieve or exceed order and revenue targets within the region. Monitor & report orders, revenue and forecast pipeline monthly via CRM tool to ensure performance goals are met. ensures they are focused on the most strategic account opportunities within the Americas.
- Build and motivate an overachieving sales organization through effective resource deployment, recruitment, performance management and development of talent.
- Identify key accounts and establish and implement account plans.
- Ensure sales resources develop and manage an accurate sales forecast and pipeline of IS and other related solutions in excess of AOP.
- Participate in setting annual budgets for growth and ensuring markets are managed in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability.
- Continually evaluate adjustment of marketing strategy and sales plans to meet changing market conditions.
- Work collaboratively within Rockwell to implement key strategic growth and initiative priorities for Rockwell within industry accounts.
- Develop strong business & financial knowledge and its impact on potential business.
- Engage at key customers and opportunities to ensure Rockwell Automation's best chance for success.
- Recruit, develops and effectively performance manages a competent and engaged staff capable of exceeding assigned annual sales goals within the assigned territory.
- Support employee development by investing time and resources for both formal and informal training and execute development plans/opportunities for the team.
- Demonstrate/Role models expertise in targeted industries and applications to the sales teams at targeted accounts.
- Develop and maintain key executive relationships for long-term business success.
- Own the executive relationship with the key Solution Partners and Systems Integrators in the delivery strategy.
- Coordinate cross territory/region/country pursuits with appropriate sales teams and partners.
- Analyze local market information and provide ongoing local market intelligence to help develop targeted industries and applications, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting and ad-hoc feedback.
- Document the competitive landscape by geography and industry segment with a pursuit strategy to defeat and defend our position.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental).
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivelant Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel greater than 30% of time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 8+ years of experience within the industry of multi-billion-dollar, global customer, or services provider.
- 8+ years of sales management experience.
- 8+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or operations in the Automation, Technology, or Digital Transformation field.
- Experience in business and digital transformation.
- Experience working at a software company or industrial competitor within their software business.
- Knowledge of technology, solutions, and services in the automation market with an emphasis on IT/OT convergence
- Knowledge of IoT edge and cloud-based solutions, predictive analytics, and digital solutions.
- Experience working with and gaining confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a highly collaborative, matrixed stakeholder organization.
