Emplify Health by Gundersen seeking an experienced Supervisor of Government Billing to lead our team responsible for Medicare, Medicaid, and Behavioral Health billing. This role oversees daily operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all billing processes.

In this role, the Supervisor will provide strong leadership, and support to a team of about 30-35 representatives, and foster a positive work environment while driving initiatives to improve billing performance and reduce denials.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Uses key performance indicators on dashboards and scorecards to monitor performance and direct resources as appropriate.

  • Monitor daily operations to ensure billing staff meet established performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals.

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and billing departments to resolve claim rejections and payor denials.

  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff to enhance their claim resolution skills

  • Monitor team performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance productivity and service quality.

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing-related inquiries and customer disputes quickly.

  • Create and maintain policies and procedures that align with industry regulations and best practices.

  • Collaborates with Revenue Cycle, ITDS and Clinical Operations to identify process errors and design-improved processes.

  • Support systemwide initiatives and works in a collaborative relationship with other departments to improve billing processes

  • Implements a multidimensional quality control and productive measurement program that assures compliance with regulations and policies.

  • 1.0 FTE

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday Days

  • Location: Remote eligible position for residents of WI, MN, and IA. However, would require willingness to work onsite as needed for business needs.

What You'll Need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency

  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle with demonstration of increasing responsibility.
