Pretzel Operator II - Weekend Night

Utz Quality Foods is expanding and looking for dedicated, career-driven individuals to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA. We're currently hiring a Pretzel Operator II to support production on our Weekend Night Shift, working Thursday through Saturday from 5:25 PM to 5:25 AM.

In this key role, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring pretzel production equipment, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency throughout each run. You'll play an essential part in maintaining the high standards that make Utz snacks a trusted favorite across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares and operates pretzel extruders, twisters and dough mixers.
• Mixes pretzel dough in accordance with product formulas and standards.
• Responsible for maintaining dough quality and texture.
• Prevents and removes poor quality product from proof belt.
• Weighs raw pretzels every 30 minutes. Records extruder speeds and pressure.
• Checks machinery for wear and communicates any to leadership.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Identifies and communicates any mechanical issues with leadership.
• Assembles and dismantles extruder components. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Works in a safe manner and communicates any safety issues to leadership.
• Logs and verifies that all required operation records are accurate.
• Records all necessary inventory staging and usage through handheld scanner.
• Maintains an organized and sanitary area from mixer to proofing belt.
• Communicates production information to other shifts daily.
• Trains inexperienced employees and promotes safe working habits.
• Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
