What You'll Do:

As a key member of a cross-functional product team, you will champion user needs and drive research initiatives from conception to delivery. Your day-to-day will involve:

* Proactively identifying critical research opportunities that inform product and design strategy.

* Independently designing and executing comprehensive research studies, including defining questions, selecting methodologies, sampling participants, and ensuring high-quality execution.

* Synthesizing past research and conducting literature reviews to provide context and guidance to stakeholders.

* Presenting compelling insights, actionable recommendations, and impactful storytelling to diverse teams and leadership, fostering customer-centric decision-making.

* Guiding designers through design critiques, ensuring research findings are effectively integrated into solutions.

* Identifying new product and feature opportunities based on deep user understanding.

* Acting as a vital liaison, fostering seamless collaboration between design, product management, and marketing teams.

* Championing the voice of the customer in workshops and design sprints, informing the evolution of product and design strategy.

* Actively contributing to the Experience Design community by advocating for user-centric approaches, piloting new workflows, and exploring best practices.

* Demonstrating a growth mindset by seeking feedback, experimenting with new approaches, and continuously expanding your skillset.

Must-Have Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3-4 years of experience in user experience, design, research, or related fields such as Information Architecture, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive or Social Sciences, or equivalent project/portfolio experience.

* Demonstrated experience in synthesizing research findings into clear, actionable insights.

* Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

* Proven skills in research prioritization, planning, and stakeholder management.

* Extensive experience with a variety of research methods in remote, field, and lab settings, including card sorting, tree tests, diary studies, in-depth interviews, unmoderated and moderated usability testing, and concept evaluations.

* Clear understanding of how various research functions and data sources (e.g., market research, product marketing, analytics) contribute to the product development lifecycle and how to integrate them into your work.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

* A blend of UX research and market research experience.

* Work history within the financial technology or large-scale technology sectors.

* Experience with journey mapping.

* A proven track record of simplifying complex work streams.
