DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Security Officer 1, you will have a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility. You will serve as a member of our security team, responsible for safeguarding the premises and mitigating various risks, including fire, unauthorized access, and other potential hazards. You will ensure the security of multiple buildings on the property and respond to any emergency situations that may arise. In addition, you will assist visitors, patrol the grounds, and transport residents as needed. You may also be assigned to conduct investigations by gathering evidence and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects. This position will give you the opportunity to work alongside professional staff and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, employees, and visitors. - Full-time employment (8 hours per day/40 hours per week)
- Work hours are 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (2nd shift), rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work every other weekend. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Willingness and ability to work in Spring City, Chester County, Pennsylvania
- Willingness and ability to work a permanent, full-time schedule
- Previous experience in the security field, including tasks such as:
- Patrol grounds and buildings
- Check for violation of fire and safety rules and regulations
- Check locks and lights of buildings or offices
- Answer phone calls related to security concerns and emergencies
- Assist and offer customer service to visitors and the public
- Approach unauthorized persons to prevent loitering
- Assist with police investigations
- Work with fire and safety panels, such as addressing alarms and resetting trouble codes
- Work with disaster and emergency preparedness plans
- Operate surveillance and security equipment and monitors
- Previous experience in a nursing-type facility searching for missing residents or assisting residents during an emergency
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
