Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

  • Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business level.
  • Lead a global team of sourcing leaders.
  • Work with broader sourcing organization to develop and implement supply strategies.
  • Manage Supplier performance: Cost, Quality, Lead Time, OTD and Responsiveness.
  • Innovate thinking: Leverage experience to develop contracts and creative solutions to improve value for our customers and Baker Hughes.
  • Develop processes, KPI's, measurement system and related dashboards.
  • Project management: Influence on all levels of the organization to drive completion of optimization opportunities.
  • Redesign processes as required.
  • Effective communication with other functional areas required. Influencing peers to meet objectives
  • Handles work requiring broad range strategic thinking along with detailed analysis and interpretation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 10 additional years of experience in Sourcing Management.
  • Domain expert on supplier contracts, negotiation, and process improvement
  • Proven history of team development and leadership
  • Strong working knowledge of supply chain, sourcing, materials management, and contract management.
  • Project management expertise. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

Desired Characteristics

  • 15+ years Sourcing and Procurement Leadership
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Chemicals Sourcing or Manufacturing
  • Domain expert on supplier contracts, negotiation, and process improvement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead global teams. Lead large scope initiatives. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
