DUTIES:
The A-Repairman-Electro-Mechanic must be qualified to inspect and make repairs (both major and minor) to railcar vehicles and all its sub-components. The A-Repairman-Electro/Mechanic must perform these functions on computer-based systems and equipment, as well as on electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems and equipment. Must be able to analyze and execute instructions from hardware and software technical manuals, schematics, and parts lists. The A-Repairman Electro-Mechanic must be able to move railcars and equipment in the shop and operate service equipment trucks, forklifts, shop carts, 20-ton cranes, and hoists. The A-Repairman-Electro/Mechanic must be able to handle situations that involve or impact revenue operations. He/she must be able to perform other jobs of a related nature as required with the Railcar Maintenance Group when necessary.

The exact time and additional details will be provided in a separate email by the Testing Unit.

ELIGIBILITY: Consideration will be given to all qualified members of A.T.U., Local 1300, as outlined below: 1. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed as a B-Repairman in Group #8. 2. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed "A", "B", or "C" Repairman in Group 5 or "B" and "C" Repairman in Group 2 or Group 3. 3. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed in the Non-Operating Dept. 4. Any qualified member of Local 1300 now employed in the Operating Dept. 5. All other MTA employees.
