We are looking for a bright engineer to help manage our Enterprise Cloud Systems in the Corp Engineering team. This is a strategic, high-impact role that will also help shape the future of Snowflake products and services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Be an integral part of highly cross functional Enterprise Technology Cloud Engineering team

  • Manage custom application deployments in public cloud environments AWS/Azure/GCP

  • Contribute to building and operating a highly reliable, secure, scalable, and performant Cloud infrastructure using Site Reliability Engineering principles

  • Develop software to automate deployment and maintenance tasks to ensure that a lean team can sustainably operate the team's growing fleet of services and deployments

  • Participate in on-call rotation and ensure uptime of services

  • Use your problem solving skills to help investigate and fix production issues, and drive blameless incident post-mortems to document learnings and prevent recurrences

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Good Analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

  • Deep curiosity, willingness to question status quo, and passion for making systems better

  • Experience with at least one programming language such as C++, Java, Go, Python

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet)

  • Hands on experience with one of more public cloud providers such as AWS/Azure/GCP

  • Experience automating software deployments and configuration changes using orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills

  • Experience using Snowflake would be a bonus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's / Master degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 + years experience in writing solutions using Python, SQL or any programing language

  • Experience in managing linux systems is nice to have

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $144,000 - $207,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
