Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent Bioinformatics Technician to join the Minn Laboratory within the Immuno-Oncology Division at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative cancer immunology research through computational analysis and collaborative scientific support. The ideal candidate will be a technically skilled and collaborative team member, responsible for supporting research projects by designing, developing, and implementing computational tools and pipelines for processing and analyzing high-throughput sequencing data and single-cell -omics platforms. Role Overview: Support research projects under the supervision of the group leader by developing and implementing computational workflows. Perform quality control and preprocessing of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and DNA-seq. Apply bioinformatics tools, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms to identify biological insights. Provide consultation and training to researchers on bioinformatics software tools and databases. Maintain documentation and contribute to collaborative data analysis and reporting. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred Strong programming skills in Python or R Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis and visualization tools Familiarity with commonly used bioinformatics software and databases Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Core Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong interpersonal and training skills Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity Collaborative mindset and ability to work across scientific teams Additional Information: Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37.5, onsite Location: 417 E. 68th Street, NYC Reporting to: Department Chair Helpful Links: Compensation Philosophy Benefits Pay Range: $67,900.00 - $105,300.00 FSLA Status: Exempt Closing: At MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.
