Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent Bioinformatics Technician to join the Minn Laboratory within the Immuno-Oncology Division at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative cancer immunology research through computational analysis and collaborative scientific support.

The ideal candidate will be a technically skilled and collaborative team member, responsible for supporting research projects by designing, developing, and implementing computational tools and pipelines for processing and analyzing high-throughput sequencing data and single-cell -omics platforms.

Role Overview:

  • Support research projects under the supervision of the group leader by developing and implementing computational workflows.
  • Perform quality control and preprocessing of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and DNA-seq.
  • Apply bioinformatics tools, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms to identify biological insights.
  • Provide consultation and training to researchers on bioinformatics software tools and databases.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to collaborative data analysis and reporting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R
  • Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis and visualization tools
  • Familiarity with commonly used bioinformatics software and databases
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Pay Range: $67,900.00 - $105,300.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
