Responsibilities

General Statement

Operate motive equipment of all sizes. Operate, mobile cranes, overhead cranes, and utility equipment including, but not limited to, fork trucks, skid steer loaders, sweepers, graders, trucks, tractors and excavation equipment. Install new machines and equipment. Remove, relocate, transport and deliver any and all machines and or equipment or parts thereof, and materials, raw or assembled. Have a minimum knowledge of rigging of all types. Have a minimum knowledge of tools and equipment necessary to perform machine and or equipment installs, uninstalls and relocations.

General Duties:

  • Perform work in an efficient manner as assigned. Train in new methods and advanced technologies as determined necessary and provided by the company.
  • Work independently and make decisions to complete assignments.
  • Train other employees in the same job classification.
  • Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Process Plants Data, order and requisition parts required to accomplish the assigned tasks and input data as directed by a higher-grade employee or manager except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue and any other duties related to material support technician.
  • Work in conformance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, blueprints, specifications, trade practice, shop practice and verbal or written instructions.
  • Maintain any licenses or certificates as required by local, state and federal codes and regulations within the geographical area, as pertains to the individual skill set performing such work.
  • Assist with researching, developing and obtaining new technologies and recommending training to management which may be required to maintain or improve skills of the workforce.
  • Assist with design and calculation, using appropriate regulation and codes, engineering, and design specifications, and acquired knowledge, requirement for the performance of assets and systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance plans (PMs), as scheduled.

Level A

  • Help and assist root cause analysis in support of reliability processes and collaborate with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts, to solve problems and develop corrective action.
  • Assist with other organizations and specialties to provide reliability failure analysis and problem resolution for assets and systems.
  • Communicate and coordinate activity with customers, engineers, suppliers and any persons or entities necessary to ensure continued operation and timely repair of plant and equipment.
  • Assist vendors with: Assembling machines, Layouts, Modifying, Testing, Repair
  • Operate motive equipment, including but not limited to: Mobile cranes, Fork trucks, Skid Steers, Sweepers, Trucks, Tractors, Excavation equipment
  • Remove, transport, deliver machines and equipment or parts.
  • Have knowledge of rigging, tools, and equipment to perform tasks

Qualifications

  • All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift. Majority of new hires will be hired on 2nd shift.
