Key focus areas include market intelligence and analytics, digital procurement transformation, risk management,supplier relationship management, governance, and capability development.

Position Summary

TheProcurementServices Master DataPrincipalroleplays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of procurement-related master data. As a subject matter expert, this individual contributoris responsible formaintainingand improving data quality,optimizingdata processes, and supporting procurement transformation initiatives through effective data management.

This individualcollaborates with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, IT, Finance, and Supply Chain, to develop and enforce data governance policies, drive automation, and enhance reporting capabilities. This role requires deepexpertisein data management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions that support procurement efficiency and decision-making.

Key responsibilities includeoverseeing the creation, maintenance, and governance of procurement master data while ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance; this individual will also serve as a subject matter expert on procurement data management, providing guidance to procurement and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a strong background indata management and procurement,experienceindata governance frameworks, data quality management, and process automation.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned workheadquarters.

PG&E isprovidingthesalary range that canreasonably beexpected for this position at the time ofthejobposting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job.The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, and geographic location.The decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors. This job is also eligible toparticipateinPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Pay Range display:

Bay Area- $126,000 to $179,000

Reporting Relationship

TheProcurementServices Master DataPrincipalrolewill report to theManager of ProcurementServices Master Data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the creation, maintenance, and governance of procurement master data, including vendor, material, contract, and pricing data.

  • Actsas the accountable contact for questions, issues, and problems for multiple datasets.

  • Assessesgaps in data management capabilities andidentify, architect, and implement solutions.

  • Developsand expandsimprovementsonexisting enterprise data governanceprogramand maturityframework.

  • Leadscross-functional teams to address datamanagement challenges.

  • Buildsand managesrelationships with stakeholders (e.g., external partners, business SMEs, data owners)and leadership to gain resources and support for data stewardship activities and drive data governance adoption and maturity.

  • Establishesand drivesclear roles, responsibilities, and ownership for data stewards.

  • Enforces data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Envisionsand leadsboth process and cultural change for data management and governance functions.

  • Ensuresdata steward responsibilities are communicated and upheld for metadata, system of record data, data usage, security,privacyand compliance.

  • Partnerswith data owners, data architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to meet the dataneeds of the business.

Background Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or MIS.

  • 10 years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, reference (master) data management, and/or designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process.

Desired

  • Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subject.

  • Knowledge of datamanagementbest practices, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards(e.g., SOX).

  • Experienced in project management to support multiple initiatives with other data stewards, programmanagersand cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with coaching and mentoring others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability toestablishand cultivate relationships with vendors and business SMEs.

  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent business process mapping and design skills.

  • Proficiencyin deliveringenterprise-scaledata management programs with complex, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Strong presentation skills to drive engagement, adoption, and inform the business at all levels.

  • Ability to translate between data management andProcurementprinciples

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Prior experience working with ERP systems (i.e.,SAP) and procurement platforms (i.e.,Ariba)
