We are seeking a motivated entry-level Software Test Engineer to join our team in Morgan Hill, CA. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to a few years of experience are encouraged to apply. You will develop and maintain automated test frameworks, instrumentation control software, and data analysis tools that ensure the quality and performance of our RF & Microwave products. This role offers hands-on learning with modern tools, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to grow into test architecture and system design.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation of RF/Microwave systems.
  • Integrate test equipment (signal generators, analyzers, power meters) via SCPI/GPIB/LAN interfaces.
  • Develop data acquisition, parsing, and reporting modules using C# or Python
  • Maintain test databases (SQL) and generate pass/fail reports with statistical summaries.
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to define test requirements and traceability.
  • Participate in continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins) and version control workflows (GitLab).
  • Log defects in Jira/TestRail and drive root-cause analysis with development teams.


Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Experience: 0+ years in software development, automation, testing, or instrumentation (academic projects, internships, co-ops, or personal repositories count).
  • Programming: Hands-on proficiency in Visual Basic, C, C#, and Python (scripting, OOP, debugging).
  • Databases: Working knowledge of relational database design and SQL (queries, joins, indexing).
  • Tools: Familiarity with GitLab (or Git) for version control, Jenkins for CI/CD, and Jira/TestRail for issue & test-case management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn complex measurement systems.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,000 - $120,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
