The Distribution Manager provides day-to-day operational oversight and direction of all supply chain distribution functions for Children's Hospital Colorado. Responsible for day-to-day managing and supervising of central distribution, warehousing (internal & offsite), receiving, order selection, delivery, and PAR location management. Oversees mail delivery and outsourced linen services operations.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages all phases of receiving, central supply, warehousing (internal & offsite) and all delivery functions. Oversees the daily operations of the contracted laundry/linen operations.
- Leads projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities in the department (e.g. lean methodology). Supports and leads implementations of new business processes. Participates in large multi-departmental projects across the organization.
- Manages employees and demonstrates strong leadership abilities, building high performing teams through recruiting, training, development, and retaining top talent in the department.
- Conducts annual performance evaluations of team members and is responsible for the coaching/developing team members.
- Conducts assessments of current operational workflows, systems, distribution management and identifies and implements improvements in operations.
- Engages in developing strategic plans for the department by identifying opportunities, writes problem statements and gathers data to set up project work.
- Develops, runs, and automates analytical tools and dashboards. Works with large sets of structured and unstructured data to analyze and interpret trends to aid in improvement opportunities in the distribution network.
- Conducts ERP related functions in the background to support the operational workflows in the department.
- Effectively manages staff scheduling, work assignments, adherence to standard work, overtime, and ensures productivity goals are achieved.
- Delegates effectively and shares knowledge of day-to-day operational goals and results of departments metrics.
- Follows and maintains the department's budget and labor expenses.
- Partners with the Clinical Champion to manage the Code Cart Program for the Hospital and throughout the Network of Care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in materials management and/or distribution to include three (3) years of supervisory experience required
- Experience with receiving dock, shipping, and receiving management preferred.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $71,040.18 to $106,560.27
