What you'll do:

As a Category Lead - External Workforce Management, you'll report to the Director of Centralized Procurement and will be responsible for categories of spend, contributing to the design and deployment of a Procurement function at the bank. You'll be an integral part of the development and execution of the procurement process, ensuring that all goods and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality. In this role you'll design, own and lead our new External Workforce Management COE, supporting business units and enterprise objectives. You'll collaborate with internal executives and other key stakeholders to implement cutting-edge savings and efficiency opportunities within the contingent labor spend category. In addition, you'll partner with the business to challenge status quo and drive the adoption of procurement practices, fostering program compliance and trust.
  • Responsible for elevating strategic sourcing capabilities through competitive sourcing, market analysis, negotiations, cost management, contract management, and supplier relationship management. Craft and execute a comprehensive External Workforce Program leveraging an MSP operational model, VMS deployment and enrolling and monitoring the participating supply base.
  • Act as the single point of contact and internal escalation point for the External Workforce Program. Perform business reviews and prepare scorecards showcasing supplier performance metrics with program business units
  • Negotiate contract rates, volume discounts and/or rebates with enrolled staffing and professional service suppliers to promote maximum value capture. Conduct and assess detailed supplier scorecard evaluations, determine supplier viability, and manage supplier relationship which include commercial, contract, and operational performance.
  • Monitor, analyze and benchmark market rates. Stay current with industry trends and best practices for an evolving contingent labor program. Promote cooperation and communication between internal stakeholders, across participating departments. Leverage various reports from the VMS platform including fulfillment cycle time, supplier performance and rate analysis.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal partners to manage and enhance supplier performance and facilitate continuous improvement and innovation. Partner with the Third-Party Management team and internal stakeholders to ensure thorough representation and adherence to risk management requirements, balancing cost-effectiveness with business objectives.

What you'll need:

  • 8+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in negotiating, with advanced skills to structure beneficial contracts, and ability to evolve contracts to best-in-class and minimize risk.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience developing and presenting executive level summaries using PowerPoint. Experience working with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
