SENIOR DDR RAS VALIDATION ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

As a Senior DDR Validation engineer, you will be part of a team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development. This role will be working on DDR RAS validation functions including debug and feature enablement. Join us!

THE PERSON:

A successful candidate is one who can impact technical validation efforts and completeness of assignment results critical to the project's success.This role allows the opportunity to contribute across server platform validation objectives. Looking for someone eager to learn and make a positive impact.A background in DDR RAS features is helpful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validation of DDR RAS features across server product line.
  • Debugging issues found during the pre-silicon process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional technical teams
  • Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
  • Familiarity of DDR RAS and RAS features and methodology
  • Experienced debug capabilities including using common lab equipment, like protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Experience with board/platform-level debug
  • Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
  • 3+ years experience in DDR or SoC technology
