SALARY RANGE $26.69 - $37.08WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS Waukesha County's Department of Public Works is seeking to fill multiple temporary Patrol Worker positions for the late-Fall 2025 to late-Winter 2026 season. As a temporary Patrol Worker, you will perform work involving maintenance and repair of highways, roads, bridges, and rights-of-way, including snow removal and de-icing operations. You may be called upon at any time to respond to emergency situations such as snowstorms, windstorms, and must have the ability to:
Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required upon application; Class A CDL preferred. Typical work hours: second shift, 7:00 pm to 3:00 am, Monday - Friday. (Please note the first week may be first shift, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, for onboarding/training purposes.) Prior to hiring, the final candidate is subject to work/education/certification reference(s), a criminal background and driver's license check, and a Physical Exam consisting of a hearing test, physical, DOT Drug Test, musculoskeletal evaluation, and TB Assessment.
