FTE 0Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 0Work Shift Night: 8 hoursJob Description The Hospital Supervisor (HS) directs and supervises the daily operations, resources, customer satisfaction, and performance improvement for the facility on an assigned shift in collaboration with members of the health care continuum. The HS empowers teams to embrace and implement change that will improve the clinical, operational, and financial performance. The HS is accountable directly to the Director and Clinical Manager of Patient Care Resources (PCR). For MHAS Department, the Hospital Supervisor (HS) will be reporting directly to the Clinical Manager of MHAS. The responsibilities of the HS includes, but is not limited to:
Specific assignment forPatient Flow and Capacity Management: Responsible for prioritizing and optimizing patient flow activities throughout the hospital system, and to facilitate the patients' entry into ECH from other health care facilities during assigned shift hours. Will assess to determine appropriate placement of all admissions (elective and emergent) as well as transfers in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines, ensuring patients receive a clinically appropriate level of care using established algorithms and protocols. To facilitate the smooth entry of patients into the care continuum, ensures all necessary documents are obtained. While working with, physicians and nursing staff. Will monitor bed/patient care capacity using both a concurrent and prospective view. Responsible for facilitating continuous throughput of patients from all points of entry while utilizing effective verbal and written communication; must be able to make efficient, effective clinical decisions in the coordination of throughput activities, while adhering to patient centered care principles.
