Overview

In support of the U.S. Navy's mission and Electric Boat's continued growth, we are expanding our efforts to recruit, hire, and retain the best and brightest-especially those who have proudly served our country. The skills, leadership, and discipline gained through military service are invaluable to our team and critical to meeting the demand for the next generation of submarines.

We're seeking an experienced Military & Veteran Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. This position plays a key role in connecting transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with rewarding careers at Electric Boat, while also supporting broader recruiting and outreach initiatives across schools, career fairs, and community events.

Responsibilities:

    Support and expand Electric Boat's established Military & Veteran Recruiting Program, serving as part of a small team who support all veteran-focused hiring initiatives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with veteran organizations, base transition programs, and community partners to promote opportunities across EB's operations.
  • Represent Electric Boat at military installations, veteran job fairs, and transition assistance programs.
  • Collaborate with EB's SkillBridge Program to identify and convert qualified candidates into full-time employment upon completion of their internships.
  • Utilize Oplign and other veteran employment platforms to proactively identify and engage with transitioning military talent.
  • Partner with the broader Talent Acquisition and Outreach teams to support general recruiting efforts, including high school events, workforce development partnerships, and large-scale hiring activations.
  • Track and report key performance metrics to measure program impact and success.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to align veteran pipelines with current and future workforce needs.
  • Travel locally and domestically as needed to attend recruiting and outreach events.

The Military & Veteran Recruiter will make a tangible impact by helping veterans translate their military skills into long-term, meaningful civilian careers.

This position may require some travel including evening and weekend hours to support recruiting events



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 3+ Recruiting experience
  • 4+ years military service
  • Experience working with military and veteran populations
  • 50-75% Travel required (local & domestic)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Degree
  • Experience with the DOD Skillbridge Program
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shipyard environment


Skills

  • An established network with the local veteran communities/organizations would be helpful in this position.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are required
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of all branches of the US Military
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment is essential
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational, project management, presentation skills
