We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager I, Sterile Processing to join our team to lead production and quality efforts. STERIS ensures healthcare facilities nationwide are prepared for anything and the Sterile Processing Department is crucial to this mission.


As a Manager I, Sterile Processing, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our Customers' expectations are met, overseeing management, production, and quality. Your leadership will drive excellence and innovation in sterile processing. This is an onsite roled based in Keene, NH.

What you'll do as a Manager Sterile Processing:

  • Manage and coordinate the Sterile Processing Department team in daily operations, ensuring smooth workflows and consistent policy implementation.
  • Lead training initiatives to elevate team performance and maintain compliance with company and Customer standards.
  • Interview, hire, and coach team members to align with organizational goals and deliver exceptional service.
  • Step in to assist Sterile Processing Technicians with instrument processing when needed to keep operations running seamlessly.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with hospital staff at all levels and STERIS leadership to foster trust and teamwork.
  • Present and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics with Customers to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all team members follow proper procedures and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to streamline workflows and create a more efficient, high-performing environment.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

  • High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in Sterile Processing
  • 2+ years' experience in an SPD supervisory or leadership position


  • CRCST or CBSPD Certification. If not certified at point of hire, certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements

Pay range for this opportunity is$78,200.00-$101,200.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
