Assistant Professor, Childhood Education Job ID: 31208 Location: Hunter College FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Department of Curriculum and Teaching in the School of Education at Hunter College, City University of New York, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6), to begin Fall 2026. We seek a colleague who values the connection between scholarship and practice in teacher education, demonstrates a commitment to anti-oppressive public P-20 education, and takes a team-oriented approach to collaboration. Successful applicants will have experience teaching school-aged children in grades 1-6, be actively engaged in research related to childhood education, and have a deep commitment to supporting the preparation of future teachers. COMPENSATION The salary range is $57,252 - $109,025.
