We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the welcoming face of our clinic. In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors - helping to create a positive, professional, and efficient front desk experience. Your work will play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional care from the very first interaction.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing
- Attend and complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training post-hire
What You'll Do
- Creating a Positive First Impression:Greet patients warmly, verify their identity, and ensure a smooth and respectful check-in experience.
- Supporting Front Desk Operations:Answer phones, manage Epic chart creation, process mail, scan documents, and handle faxes with accuracy and discretion.
- Coordinating Patient Flow:Facilitate efficient check-ins, check-outs, and appointment scheduling to keep the day running smoothly.
- Maintaining Provider Schedules:Monitor and update provider calendars, correct registration errors, and manage work queues.
- Collaborating Across Teams:Communicate with clinical staff and departments to support seamless, coordinated care.
- Scheduling and Compliance:Schedule procedures and testing, provide good faith estimates, and ensure full compliance with the No Surprises Act.
- Resolving Patient Concerns:Address questions and concerns with empathy, escalating issues when needed to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Handling Financial Transactions:Balance your cash drawer, manage accounts receivable, and assist patients with payment plans.
- Protecting Patient Privacy:Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR while strictly adhering toHIPAA regulationsand safeguardingpatient confidentiality at all times.
- Supporting Office Operations:Operate and maintain office equipment, stay current on Epic updates, and assist with new initiatives.
- Upholding Safety and Privacy Standards:Ensure the reception area is clean, safe, and welcoming-while prioritizinginfection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy.
- Contributing to Team Success:Participate in team meetings, stay informed through internal communications, and actively support continuous improvement efforts.
