The Opportunity:

That is why we need you, an experienced Action Officer who can provide strategic support and leadership on issues relating to new technologies and business processes.

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical expert for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You'll work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. You will leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You'll maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.

You'll serve as an affairs Action Officer as part of an exciting team to provide high-level operational and executive support in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Above all, you have a deep commitment to working collaboratively to facilitate the adoption of new business tools to advance client priorities. You will help clients communicate requirements, standardize processes, and determine viable solutions. You will provide support to senior leaders, serve as a point of contact for the office and other agency offices, manage incoming requirements, clearly communicate tasks, and track metrics. You will be readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging requests and special projects. Attention to detail, flexibility, strong communication skills, understanding of the international mission, and problem solving will enable our client's success. This position is a Hybrid role with Booz Allen. Candidate is expected to work on-site at a Booz Allen or Client Facility 20-50% of your time, as needed.

What You'll Work On:

• Help adopt new business technologies and create standardized processes for expanded adoption.

• Identify new business processes for adoption and communicate new processes to senior leaders.

• Coordinate efforts among the team, report on OKRs and other performance metrics, and advise and coordinate with senior leaders.

• Track important milestones and synthesize implications for office and agency efforts.

• Work closely with other Action Officers to support daily operations.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in project management, process design and facilitation, and executive communications

• Experience in health policy or biomedical research

• Experience engaging with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15

• Experience in strategic planning, optimizing operations, and solving complex problems to achieve organizational goals

• Experience coordinating team efforts, tracking progress, and advising on strategies to achieve organizational goals

• Experience with Atlassian and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to conduct thorough research, analyze data and organizational priorities, and generate actionable insights to inform strategic decisions

• Master's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in strategic planning or performance management

• Experience engaging a broad range of stakeholders, including U.S. and foreign government officials, international partners, and private sector executives

• Experience in a leadership support office in a government environment or ARPA organization

• Experience with U.S., international government, or nongovernment health organizations

• Ability to be well-organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines

• Possession of excellent communication skills
